Why You Should (Not) Start A Blog

You haven’t started a blog yet? Where have you been all these years? Maybe you didn’t catch up with the trend or you just started online. My friend, you must blog in this new internet economy.

Blogs are more important than ever. Whenever you search for any information, some blog post comes up and you get benefited. Do the same, share your expertise. In this new internet world you can be successful just by sharing your knowledge through a blog.

For an example when I started this blog, I wanted to share a few tips on blogging here and there. But soon enough lots of people started to follow the blog. Now when I go out in a public event, complete strangers come to me and say that they have been reading my blog for years. I feel myself some kind of mini celebrity.

Yes you can be famous through blogging; you can also make money doing it but most of all you get to help a lot of people with your knowledge.

You should start a blog as a hobby or for business needs. Blogging is the #1 tool for getting more customers to your business. My blog has generated so many leads for my web design business.

With a blog you are allowed to create as many content pages as you can (just make sure they are useful) this will increase the count of your website. With a traditional company website, it is not possible. Research shows that websites that has 401-1000 pages gets 6 times more leads than the sites that have 51-100 pages.

A quick google search with site:blogkori.com shows that my blog site has 954 pages.

Do the same and see if you have more pages in your website. When you start blogging and continuously add content, this number will increase and you will get more traffic = more customers.

And if you are thinking about the cost of blogging, don’t worry, blogging doesn’t cost as much as traditional marketing tools. A blog will cost you the time for researching and crafting content. You can also hire people to write for you. You can easily find good writers at odesk who will write on your blog for $50-100 a month.
