How twitter is replacing the whole web 2.0 BlogKori
Twitter is replacing the whole web 2.0 and here’s some of the cool things of the web that have already been replaced by twitter,

1. IM and email

Twitter has replaced instant messengers and email way before. Sending messages through twitter is fast, simple and easy. You can also send an @reply which will allow you to share the message to the world.

2. Social media

It’s been a long time since I’m using digg, facebook and stumble upon to promote my articles. Twitter is better for social media promotions. The visitors coming from twitter stays longer and they are influenced enough to ReTweet the article. Digg button has been replaced by the ReTweet button.

3. Forums

Long time ago I used to visit forums to find answers. I post a question and wait whole day long to get an answer. Twitter is way better than forums because the conversation is instant. You post a question and there will be hundreds of people willing to help you out. Post a solution and lots of people will appreciate you with replies and ReTweets.

4. Better CPC ROI

Marketers are now putting social ads on twitter. I must tell you that posting ads on twitter is way better than bidding for adwords. Advertisers find great value for their money and because twitter is a social platform, ads are now social messages and people love to get involved with.

5. Personal blogging

Starting a twitter account is easier than starting a blog. Twitter is simple and less tech savvy people can use twitter. A lot of business owners have created their own twitter stream and have connected to the web.

6. Twitter replacing pro blogging?

Is it possible for twitter to replace professional blogging? I mean you have followers as your readers; get replies and retweets as comments; you can customize your twitter profile; monetize your account and can do business with it. Twitter is simple and you can do a lot of things with 140 characters.

Have your @reply

What do you think of this article? Did I miss anything? Do you think twitter is better for business and public relationship (PR)?

I don’t think Twitter will replace blogging, but it may become the blogging of the future for those who do not have the time to write in-depth. And I agree, Twitter is probably the easiest promotional platform in the sense of people sharing your article. People are quicker to re-tweet than send Digg shoutouts or Stumble shares to their friends.

A blog is a B-L-O-G and we can fit bigger things into it. Twitter is good for status but you can’t add something bigger into it. Ya, I believe twitter has it’s own place and blog on it’s own.

I just don’t get Twitter and why it is so popular. I know that I should be involved in it but I just can’t get enthusiastic about it!

Really twitter is a awesome tool and it covers all social
media in it. If someone have their account in it he/she has to no need to create a blog..

But twitter can’t replace a blog and you need it in a special time when you have to share something bigger.
