Monopoly is my favorite board game and why not, it’s the most popular board game ever! This is the best game because you have total control over your assets, money and what ever you wish to do.
This simple game became a hit just because it’s so close to life. Now let’s forget about it and roll the dice for the reality, building your own online empire -the Monopoly style!
1. Buy properties: Buy your online assets like domains, hosting, logo, templates, SEO service etc. Please remember that these properties are useless until you make them work.
2. Build assets: Turn domains and hostings into websites or blogs. Add useful resources and it’ll grow over time. Use other services like SEO, directory submission to boost its status and use graphics and logo for branding.
3. Focus on different revenue streams: If you want to survive online, then you have to focus on different revenue streams. Economical downtime is not an excuse; there will be more downtime in the future. Stop depending one adsense and try other things like PayPerPost, affiliate commissions and direct advertising.
4. Pay your bills in time: Pay hosting, domain and advertising costs in time. Paying bills are better than spending money for promotion. This will keep you tension free.
5. Buy valuable assets: You don’t have to buy the most expensive things. Buy older but useful sites, domains or other services. Your hard work will make it valuable.
6. Spend your money wisely: Monopoly is just about how you use your resources. You have to do the same in your online journey. Don’t jump for offers, try to think about the future and spend your money wisely.
7. It’s all about your decision: By rolling the dice each event happens in Monopoly; you’ll get into places and meet new people by odd -your decisions are the thing which will change the destiny.
8. Make publicity: There’s nothing better than publicity, hold contests, get reviewed, show up in other websites and make your publicity. The more you show your face, the more you’ll get opportunities.
9. Use your chances: By odd (not luck!) you’ll get chances, offers and different opportunities. Try to put much effort for those odd chances and build new connections.
10. Use what you have: Don’t worry about the things you don’t have. If you have a nice community in Stumble Upon or Twitter -use them. Focus on those 10 readers you have and forget about 1000 readers you don’t have.
11. Go to jail: Send annoying people to your personal ban list. Stop your connection, messages and everything. Release them after a while so that they will be more caring. At the same way you’ll be banned from your other contacts. Try to improve your self and apologize for your mistakes and get out of jail.
12. It’s a long way to the top: Some bloggers or webmasters have done it in 2 years, so don’t think you can do that too! It may take a much more time for you to the success so make your self active in it. In Monopoly, you have to take turns over and over again; at the same way in real life you have to spend years to achieve something.

Hey Tamal, how do you usually find images for your posts? Do you buy them or do you have any free resources?
@krjx: I use google image search for images.
FYI, many of the images that google image search turns up are copyright protected as google often does not take this into consideration when showing results.
